The Lake Simcoe Conservation Foundation

The Lake Simcoe watershed

The Lake Simcoe watershed is a rich and diverse landscape centred between the Great Lakes and covers more than 3,400 square kilometres.

Ranging as far north as the City of Orillia, our watershed stretches south to include parts of King, Aurora and Whitchurch Stouffville.

We go as far west from the City of Barrie to include parts of the City of Kawartha Lakes in the east. All in all, 20 municipalities call the Lake Simcoe watershed home.

The bounty and beauty of Lake Simcoe is breathtaking, but within our lifetime the health of the lake has diminished. Together we can work to protect and restore Lake Simcoe for generations to come.
