Natural areas, trails and mature trees enhance our health and well-being.
Only a limited number of memorial trees are available.
By sponsoring a memorial tree, you are paying tribute to a special loved one or event. Your tree will serve as a living legacy and enhance the natural beauty of our Conservation Areas for decades to come. Planting a tree provides many positive ecological benefits like increasing forest cover, filtering water, improving soil and wildlife habit. Your gift will help mitigate the effects of climate change, one beautiful tree at a time.
Where feasible, memorial trees will be placed near our memorial benches.
All memorial trees will be native, deciduous, 8 to 10 feet tall and approximately 2 inches in diameter. Memorial trees will be planted in pre-determined locations at Scanlon Creek Conservation Area, Rogers Reservoir Conservation Area, Whitchurch-Stouffville Conservation Area and Beaver River Wetland Trail. All memorial trees are guaranteed for 5 years and are memorialized for a 10-year period. Your gift is tax deductible.
