Employees Getting Dirty for a Healthier Lake Simcoe Watershed

The Conservation Day Program is a hands-on outdoor experience that fosters corporate teamwork and fun. Through active participation in initiatives like planting trees or clearing trails, employees work together to contribute to a healthier environment while learning about local environmental issues and how to potentially resolve them. Time spent outside is your prescription to better health – a natural stress-buster!

Objectives:

• Corporate team building

• Increase corporate social responsibility

• Participate in activities that protect and restore our local green spaces, wetlands, rivers and streams

• Demonstrate commitment to the environment

• Get active outdoors – experience the health benefits of the natural world

• Have fun!

Proceeds of the Conservation Day Program support priority environmental restoration, protection and educational programs and projects in the Lake Simcoe watershed. These projects help improve water quality and quantity which can lead to a healthier fish population and reduce aquatic weed growth in Lake Simcoe, its rivers and streams.
