into Lake Simcoe!

The 2018 “Freezin for a Reason” Polar Dip into Lake Simcoe was held this past Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Innisfil Beach Park.
We’ve had some blustery and frigid temperatures to contend with in past years, so we were thankful that the weather cooperated!
Our 2018 goal was to raise $3,000 and thanks to YOU team Shiverin’ for Simcoe blew that right out of the water (Lake Simcoe actually)
Five brave polar dipping veterans raised $4,260 (so far!) in support of Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority environmental programs and projects in our watershed.
Congratulations team Shiverin’ for Simcoe!
“Ice Man” Mike Walters
“Stone Cold” Richard Simpson
“Frozen Safety Girl”Julie Ingoe
“So Chill” Eavan O’Connor
“Frozen Gopher” Geoff Peat
This year the Foundation is supporting fish habitat enhancement and barrier removal projects, outreach and outdoor environmental education programming for kids, protecting wildlife and reforestation projects just to name a few.
Continued support is always needed, so please think of giving to the Foundation all year round as we work together to support our vision of a cleaner and healthier Lake Simcoe watershed.
